The game will feature at least 35 characters to choose from, equaling that of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. There's also a spectator mode where up to six players can watch others battle it out via a "Channel Live" feature. A report by AndriaSang mentions some sort of Download Play, where gamers who download the game can share it with others, which doesn't sound too dissimilar to two separate DS features.

Watching a few of those videos has made it rather tempting to get the 3DS even the fact you can barrel roll a tank in star fox

How much will one set me back? If its nice figure I might pick one up but for me the downfall of hand-held consoles are is that I don't really like taking them out of the house haha mainly use them in bed.

i'd say estimates are from £180 - £200+

though check this out :

I agree, DSi XL is £160 so another £40 on top for 3DS can't be argued really.

If I get a chance I'll copy and past over to the blog tomorrow before work. £200 is okish I guess I might just for a sale or something before I pick one up as it is looking good.

@Dead I never got that far to be able to play the landmaster still funny seeing a tank barrel roll

Just read over on kotaku you can turn off the 3D if you want too, that is a big plus for me but then again there was news on the psp2 that has been said that it is as powerful as the ps3 haha

They also said the Dead or Alive creators have said turning off the 3D will make there game 60fps but if you turn it on it drops to 30fps.

£220 for one? I defiantly won't be getting one straight away then haha I do find it weird that consoles for us are more expensive then America as there's works out to about £156ish!

Games are looking to be £40!! The mrs has made me question getting one.

3DSi or 3DS lite in 12months making the Original worthless and the likely hood of the 3D screen popping up elsewhere, say an iPhone in the next year or so!

You have a good point there nintendo always release a lite version of the hand helds with extra features even if they a poor extras like the DSi. Plus for that price you can pick up an 360 and have change!

If only a 3D tv was £230. Actually I think I'd buy a little 20" 3DTV for that much.

If the 3ds is £230 its extortion and bloody ridiculous what is nintendo thinking havent they realised a handheld marked up at £200+ will fail have they ever seen a PSP go and what happened to that if this is the pricetag - i certainly wont be buying one and will buy an ipad2 instead

If people will pay £500 for an iPad then £230 is pretty reasonable for the most advanced handheld gaming device ever created. PSP Go was a pointless hardware upgrade that was uncomfortable to hold and had LESS features than the PSP3000.

i think/hope amazon will lower the price to match shopto, never brought anything from shopto so sticking to amazon, have you used shopto before deadman? anygood etc?

For the meantime I have had to cancel my 3DS pre-order I need to save some back-up money "Just incase" I would love a 3DS with a portable SSFIV but I have the game on the 360, so will wait until the price drops..

free case OMG! £217.85

I haven't ordered from shopto but know people that gave and they say it's all fine. I'm now totally at peace with not getting a 3DS. £230 could get me a ps3 and that's fine, but it's nit worth it for 3DS given how little I use a handheld gaming device.
