It's a stop gap filler, nothing more. I don't think it's particularly awesome - but it shouldn't really piss anyone off either. It's a chance for PS3 and X360 gamers to play a classic that they may not otherwise be able to do.

I still say it sounds like a bad idea myself as I'm rather liking the sound of Resident Evil: Raccoon City hopefully that goes back to survival horror!

No luck there. Raccoon City is apparently all action. It's designed so you always have enough ammo - even for the big guns and is more for the co-op than for survival horror. Resi4 was the last game where it was about scrounging for ammo.
