IPad 2 and 3DS are out on the same day to!

In thinking 3DS is gonna rule over the competition in terms of sales. iPad2 will do well but at such a high price point it won't outsell 3DS. Also, NGP while technically impressive will struggle to overcome the disaster that is PSPgo.

Sony don't have a great launch strategy in my opinion. Early adopters have paid through the nose for PS3 and PSPgo shows they haven't figured out the right way to do it. Yes, NGP is full of new tech but the vast majority of handheld gamers (in the uk at least) already understand how a DS works and are comfortable with Nintendo.

The Nintendo name carries weight in the handheld gaming space and I just dont think Sony really does anymore.

I disagree - I think 3DS won't do nearly as well as Nintendo hope and certainly not as well as DS. I don't think NGP is intended to sell more than the other two - but I think it will do well regardless.
Ipad2 will probably be big among westerners and do the best.
